I looked up Jerez in Spain where Aerlingus train, and probably a good reputation for eventual hire with Aerlingus but I don’t think my wife fancies being on her own in Ireland and me moving off for over a year away from family etc I am currently in the US, and have the ability to do it modular with my local school, but I feel like this would take longer, plus, I heard that it needs to be converted to EASA now or something, I don’t know all the details, but I heard it adds a lot of work later, and the goal would be to work in Ireland if I do this. So I’ve already got my FAA PPL at least, so I don’t know if that would even be useful or count officially towards more than experience with the EASA and all. However, I found an ATO in Budapest which is able to do the MCC course online (don't get me wrond, you still have to do the Sim, it just avoiding staying 10 days). Anyway the answer is no sadly, I must have an MCC in order to complete my conversion. Did you manage to solve out your issue for the MCC requirements? Next step would be to enquire for such an ATO in the rest of Europe. It is always part of a Type Rating in a whole. I have been calling all A320 capable ATOs of the country and it seems that none of them is able to provide such an evaluation in its own. They also mention that only an MCC evaluation is required in order to get the certificate and that any ATO is able to provide such a service.
